Walking around Paris

Today I decided to walk part of the way back from lab. In retrospect, I could have walked the whole way but for some reason, I keep assuming things are farther apart than they really are.

But, I passed Notre Dame on my way! It's rather magnificent!

After crossing the river Seine:

Oh, I don't have a picture of this yet, but I crossed to Notre Dame on a bridge that was covered in locks. Not sure what the official name is for the two bridges that are like this but apparently couples will write their names on the locks and whatever, lock it onto the side of the bridge, and throw the keys into the river.
